As read in the latest Premiere magazine featuring Batman Begins, Goyer states the next film will involve the Joker ... "The next one would have Batman enlisting the aid of Gordon and Dent in bringing down the Joker- .... but not killing him, which is a mistake they made in the first one". The article then says that "In the third, the Joker would go on trial, scarring Dent in the process."

Sounds like the setup for an amazing trilogy (at least, trilogy in terms of original cast ... as I believe Bale, Oldman and Caine all signed 3 picture deals).

That makes my day. It really sounds like they're trying to give the Batman franchise a new start. If Batman Begins is as good as I think it will be, maybe the sequels will be equally good.

I am however, wary. It seems as if they're really pushing the Batman movies, and well, I'm worried that it'll become stale. *cough*starwars*cough*

Thoughts?!

You don't have to cough around Star Wars. We all know.

lol ca.

Yeah, Batman Begins looks great, and I'm really excited about what's being planned.

God I hope it's good ... I've been so disapointed with what they've done with the character so far. The best they've done was the animated series when it first came out (before Robin).

That said, my 2 favorite Batman movie quotes of all time are still:

"Where does he get those wonderful toys?" &
"Somedays you just can't get rid of a bomb!"

I'll wait to see Batman Begins before I start getting excited about the sequels. Some of that is sounding interesting, but the new Batmobile has scarred my faith.

As for the Joker's trial, I find it really hard to imagine Batman on the witness stand.

Well, it did happen. That's how Two-Face was born.
