Jimmy Fallon is not a funny man. I was going through my webcomics and I hit upon Theater Hopper, great for witty movie opinions. Tom Brazelton had a really good comic about Jimmy Fallon and it reminded me of how much I hate the guy.

Now, I find myself agreeing with this. I'm sure everyone's seen SNL when he was on. Fortunately, he left. But it's true. In every skit, he starts LAUGHING. Seriously? What the fuck, Fallon? You're on an improv show! You can't start laughing in every skit you're in! It ruins the atmosphere! It ruins the comedic tension! Man! That guy has the worst poker face! I'd love to play against him, I'd clean him out within five hands.

Onto his films. There are two films since he left SNL that he's headlined. The first is Taxi with Queen Latifah and the most recent, Fever Pitch. Taxi is a steaming pile of fetid beetle shit. Queen Latifah had recently wrapped up a project where she's a smart talking black woman faced with an incompetent white male and...

Well, holy fuck! She did the exact same role in Bringing Down the House! (Note: I liked this one, it had a decent cast and I thought it meshed fairly well for a tired, hackneyed plotline.)
Jimmy Fallon, you suck at picking movie roles. I play an inept rookie cop! Durrrr!

Fever Pitch is directed by the Farrely brothers. Now, this makes me sad. I actually know the Farrely brothers and they're really nice and cool guys. But frankly, I don't think I will see this movie just out of pure spite of Jimmy Fallon.

Man, Jimmy Fallon ticks me off. He was incompetent on SNL. I was really happy when he was limited to the Weekend Update, but near the end, he was given actual improv roles. Which he sucked at. I miss the old SNL. It used to be so great, and now it's filled with crap. Like Horatio Sanz. Boat Trip was also crap. Cuba Gooding Jr. used to be stellar, and now his name is dirt.

But, to reiterate the point of this rant, I hate Jimmy Fallon. If Fever Pitch has decent reviews, I might consider making it a rental.

And man! I hate that stupid grin he has! You have nothing to laugh about!


I swear, next time, I'll have movie news for you guys. I just thought I'd bring it to your attention that Jimmy Fallon is horrible. In my opinion. Feel free to flame me, or him.

So to summarize, he can't keep a straight face, he picked one bad movie role, and you don't like his grin. I think you're being a little harsh. The laughing part is a legitimate gripe, but don't crucify him over one role. If Fever Pitch and his next movie are on par with Taxi then burn him at the stake, by all means. But I think you should at least give him a little slack.

I'm going to agree with the dislike of Jimmy Fallon. The guy is a side kick at best and does some really bad movies. His fratboyish "Oh look at me I'm wearing a funny hat, isn't that funny?" stuff just really annoys me.
I do like the review. Kind of reminds of something you'd see in the Village Voice. Just work on getting some more movies and examples in there b00 to help make your point and it's fine. aka, be more specific and less ranty.

I'm not sure if I really have an opinion of Jimmy Fallon one way or another. I honestly haven't seen him in much, but my girlfriend read me a review that said:

Sorry about that guys. Yes, I realize I was being a bit harsh on Jimmy Fallon. I was in a bit of a ranting mood, so take this for what it is, a rant. I promise, I'll post more "Movie"-related news tomorrow.

I didn't see Taxi, and I won't see Fever Pitch, only because Jimmy Fallon has a very stupid face. there's this one ad for Taxi on the public busses here that have him, Latifah, and the villainess from the movie all standing together, and the two women have that apperently sexy "attitude" look on their faces, and Fallon is just staning there with the most retarded grin on his face like he has no fucking clue.

I tried to find a picture of that ad on google, but alas, it doesn't seem to be on the internet. But you can still find a lot of pictures of him looking like a retard anyways

Didn't he also do Corky Romano? I'm thinking that he did, which is why I didn't want to watch that one (either). Going with the lot of ye on this one; Fallon sucked on SNL, and he ain't funny enough to carry an entire movie on his shoulders. So if any of you Hollywood execs happen upon this thread, STOP CASTING HIM IN LEADING ROLES!

Corky Romano was Chris Kattan who is better than Fallon, but not very good at lead roles. Kattan was in Night at the Roxbury which I found funny, but I think that was in part of Will Ferrel, whom I highly enjoy.
