A mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, and software engineer are driving down the freeway in a car. Suddenly, the dashboard lights flicker, there is a loud noise, and the engine stops. They pull over to the side of the road and try to determine what is wrong.

The mechanical engineer says "I think a rod snapped which caused that loud noise we heard."

The electrical engineer says "I think it's a problem with the electrical system, which is why the dashboard lights flickered."

The software engineer says "Let's all get out, then get back in and try again."

that reminds me of some joke where if cars had gone through the same price/model changes as computers they would cost 100$, be able to go the speed of sound and 50% of the time they would explode and kill everyone insisde

Err, wrong.

It is supposed to be "lets close all the windows, get out, go back in, and open all the windows, and try again". wink.gif

It's a variation, it's not "wrong". Personally I think that one is too wordy.
