Mine would have to be Lenny Henry or Chris Addison. Pure class.

I like Brett Butt and Mike MacDonald. What can I say, I love the homegrown comedy.

Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Doug Stanhope, Mitch Hedberg, Lewis Black, Robin Williams, Emo Phillips, Eddie Izzard, Richard Pryor, Stephen Lynch, Cheech and Chong, Dane Cook, Stephen Wright, Denis Leary, Dennis Miller, and Brian Reagan are some of my favorites, and yes, I do listen too much comedy for my own good. If laughter is the best medecine, I'll never be sick again.
Oh, and Norm McDonald gets bonus points for being an english comic from Quebec, and Jim Gaffigan gets special mention for being both hilarious and an incredibly nice guy, which I can attest to personally because I met him after one of his shoes and he wasted his time talking to me while I was shitface drunk and probably not making any sense.

It's sad that Mitch Hedberg died recently.

Billy Connelly, Lee Evans, Harry Hill, Morecame & Wise and Laurel & Hardy.
Infact, just Laurel & Hardy. I saw "The Piano Movers" on Christmas Day last year, and it completely creased me up

Have you seen any Abbot and Costello TI?
Laurel and Hardy are (extremely funny) classic comedy - they started the whole comic duo concept.

once or twice, but I always think of them as the "Second Generation" - yes, they're good and yes, they're (damn) funny, but I have yet to see something of theirs that wasn't done by someone else first.
Don;t get me wrong, I'm POSITIVE that this is just because I haven't seen much of their material, but from what I've seen it stands.
I now want to add Tommy Cooper to the list. The man was a genius and with his passing, the world looked a little more grey.

most of the mentioned ones are really good. Fav of all time is George Carlin, but love Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, Adam Sandler (They're All Gonna Laugh at You!), Mitch Hedberg, Frank Caliendo, Pablo Francisco, and others too numerous to mention... Oh, and Dmitri Martin is good too.

Bill Hicks. Hands down. If you haven't heard this guy you have go to check it out. Also Dave Hughes, Will Anderson and that other guy whose name I can never remember. You know the guy. With the thing he does.

I'd have to say Jon Stewart, Lewis Black, Billy Connolly, Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey.
If you haven't done so already, check out "Bewilderness" by Bill Bailey and "Monster" by Dylan Moran (He was "David" in Shaun of the Dead for anyone who remembers him, the arrogant Irishman with glasses).
One of the funniest men alive today in his standup material!
