kinda like the other thread but with more detail on my reason for not liking this specific bond film as much.
so ...yer ... i just went to see the new bond film (waited to go see it with my bro) and we both came out thinking "what the hell was that?", not because the film itself was too bad or had a confusing plot or lacking in stuff really, but because of the fact that during pretty much every action sequence the camera point of view swaps so often u cant see a fracking thing thats happening at all. iv noticed a growing trend in music videos with similar problems, but put it down to the fact that its just a vid so the music is whats important rly.
But with a Bond film i really expect to be able to see relatively clearly whos shooting who or bashing who with what etc. but most of the fight scene's i could only tell what had happened afterwards by counting the dead ( ***possible spoiler if you havent seen it yet skip to the end of the bracket *** hell in the first scene i thought M had been shot by the spy bodyguard dude coz of the camera zipping around all the time)
now dont get me wrong i dont expect the camera to stay in 1 position the entire time, and im not averse to PoV switches, but im young and compared to older people have a short attention span and even i found it tedious (my parents have also seen it and they complained about the fact they got headaches from it and couldnt tell what was going on in any action sequences also). then asked any of my friends who had seen it what they thought too ...and they all also felt like the post production editting had been done by a 5 year old ADHD kid so at least i wasn't the only one.
apart from that little quibble, i just wanted to know what other people's thoughts on this were, not just in james bond, but in tv and music videos as well. am i the only one who feels that some reduction in PoV switching (maybe limiting it to just 1 PoV change per sec instead of 2-3 even) in many cases, would be no bad thing?
