Waycos
Ah good, I was really hoping it wasn't The Color Purple, which also won no awards.

Next Question:

What movie has a scene that features synchronized swimming nuns?
Useless Trivia Man
Heh, that'd be the Mel Brooks classic History of the World Part I.

This movie's first two working titles (before settling for the theatrical title) were "Helldorado" and "Welcome to the Jungle." Name this action flick.
Waycos
You are correct....

As for your question, Desperado?
Useless Trivia Man
Nope, this one came out in 2003.
Mizafim
Can't think of why "Welcome to the Jungle" would really work, but with "Helldorado" (and 2003 as a reference point)....Once Upon A Time In Mexico?
Useless Trivia Man
If I remember correctly, this one's set a little further south than Mexico. Try again. wink.gif
Hailsky
is it The Rundown?

out in 2003
in Brazil (further south)
and I'm pretty sure they were looking for the lead character in El Dorado (Helldorado)
they go searching through the jungle (Welcome to the Jungle)
Useless Trivia Man
Correct. You're up!
Hailsky
In the Kill Bill movies, all of the members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad are named after what?

(there are two possible answers)
Prodigal7512
Besides poisonous snakes?
Useless Trivia Man
Weren't they named after the members of the Femme Force Five (the pilot that Uma mentioned in Pulp Fiction)?
Hailsky
Poisonous snakes is right.
The other answer was that they were all the enemies of Captain America.

I guess it's Prodigal7512's turn
Prodigal7512
What is the name of the Golden Eagle in The Rescuers Down Under?
Hailsky
that's a tough one.
i can tell you the name of the lizard... haha
good question.
Jeff N.
is it Marahute?
Prodigal7512
Since even I don't have a clue on the proper spelling (I was just going to go whether it phonetically looked close enough) you are correct!
Jeff N.
In the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, how many miles are on the Porsche when they drop it off at the parking garage?
Waycos
oo.. 3512?
Jeff N.
nope
Cujo
2700?
Waycos
Going with my original thought which I thought was to low, but I keep coming back to "512"?
Jeff N.
you're both much too high.
bartman
For some reason I keep thinking 8, but I'm almost positive that's wrong
Jeff N.
I'd suggest watching the movie again if you have the opportunity.
Cujo
Well... I'm not going to watch the movie again just to answer a question. I've seen it plenty of times.

I'm guessing 271
Jeff N.
Too high.
Cujo
92
Waycos
112?
Jeff N.
now you're too low, but Waycos is getting close.
Waycos
ok, 212?
Cujo
152
Djimnik
ummm, none, they weren't driving a porsche.
Waycos
Oh you cheeky bastard... I thought he just made a mistake on the car name.
Jeff N.
Djimnik, you ruined my trick question. You're up.
Djimnik
OK, same subject. The car in the movie wasn't actually a Ferrari 250gt, what was it?
Waycos
wasn't it an MG?
Djimnik
Yup, you got it. Your up.
Cujo

Ya, I was with you, I figured it was just an honest mistake. Cheap.
Waycos
Continuing with Ferris... What was the connection with all the licence plates in the movie?
bartman
They were all (except for the Ferrari) allusions to previous films by the director John Hughes
Waycos
That is correct.
bartman
Where is the hidden temple that houses the Holy Grail in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade actually located?
Djimnik
Well, since no one else seems to want to answer this one. ...

Valley of the crescent moon outside of the city of Alaxendretta.
bartman
nope, I'm asking where the actual temple is, not where the temple is in the film...
Sable
It does resemble Jorden.
bartman
you got the correct country and since no one is really guessing (probably since it is a weekend) I'll just give it to you.

The actual temple is in Petra, Jordan; the inside is apparently quite different (a gigantic square room over two stories high, but that's it)
Sable
In Point Break, how many Meatball Rolls does Gary Busey get Keanu Reeves to go get for him?
dragonking

Sable
'Close but you're way off' - Homer Simpson
Sable
Ok, the answer was 2, but seeing as no ones interested, here's a new one.
