I'm inclined to guess something in the Mario Bros. family?
...Because that movie was pretty bad.

Dec 25 2007, 05:47 PM
The correct answer is: Street Fighter the Movie, video game is the same title.
....Right?
Useless Trivia Man
Dec 26 2007, 06:41 PM
Both incorrect, I'm afraid. Mario Brothers (the arcade game) came out in the 80's, and the movie came out in 1993. The Street Fighter game was actually released in 1987; Street Fighter II, the massive arcade smash hit, was released in 1991 and the movie based on SFII was released in 1994.
The game/movie I'm looking for were released at the same time.

Nope to both.
Okay, dead giveaway time: The game was divided into four minigames, and you had to beat all four to advance to the next level. In one minigame you had to destroy all the enemy tanks, and in one of the others you had to shoot your way through the rotating multi-colored shield of the MCP to reach the uplink tower...

Nobody going to get this one? The movie was "Duck you sucker, AKA A fistfull of Dynamite" Staring James Coburn as the IRA Explosives Expert and Rod Steiger as the Mexican Bandit.
It was directed by some no name guy, Sergio Leone something

Jan 11 2008, 08:47 AM
Have I mentioned that my wedding song was 'Storybook Love' by Mark Knopfler (the theme music to Princess Bride)? When the minister said "You may kiss your bride" I actually said "As you wish."

Speaking of Princess Bride, Andre the Giant had a heckuva time with his speaking role in that movie. Not only did he have that thick French accent, but he also read the script aloud like... well, like he was reading aloud. The movie's bigwigs were starting to worry that he couldn't do the part until Mandy Patinkin did something to snap Andre out of it and
read the part. What was this thing that Inigo did to Fezzik?

Mandy would slap Andre in the face to get him to focus on his lines, I don't know if thats a road I would take for someone who is 6'7 and 500LBS..but I guess it worked.
