bartman
that's correct. Never saw the movie, most likely never will. Turned out to be a dud, bet those theaters thanked Fox
mafia-man
oh crap forgot it was my turn.

i'll make this an anime one biggrin.gif

In Cowboy Bebop the movie, what is the lighter that Spike is offered to light his cigarette with when he goes to the Marocan district.

appologies for spelling but it's way past my bed time
Useless Trivia Man
A blowtorch?
Gi@nT
A candle sitting in a cup?

Actualy now that I've written it, it doesn't sound right. UTM is probably on the ball here.
mafia-man
wrong and wrong biggrin.gif muhahahaha
nicofiend
If my memory serves me correct, I believe that it was a hand grenade lighter, or some sort of ball looking thing.
mafia-man
'twas a grenade. Bingo, your turn.
nicofiend
Damn, now I have to think of a good question while I"m running on no sleep.
Ok, how aobut this one:

In the movie Strangeland, who was the band on stage during the club scene?
Orelinde
twisted sister..?
nicofiend
Nope, not even close.
DarkShinigami4711
BiLE
nicofiend
Bingo Shinigami. You're up.
DarkShinigami4711
Cool. The 4711 in my screenname is from a movie. It's tattooed on the thigh of one of the actors. What movie and who's thigh (character or actor)? I'll drop hints as needed, but as it's a tough one (it's barely visible, even on the big screen), here's one to start you off on: It's a "cult" movie.

Edit: I have been informed that the tattoo changes a few times, between 4711 and 4771. Either way, dosn't matter. Oh, and IMDb dosn't have it, they're too lazy to add the stuff I sent them like 4 months ago

Edit 2: Not quite 24 hours yet, but I won't be here at 6, so here is Hint #2: It flopped big-time when it first came out (heh, most cult movies did, didn't they?).

Wow, not even a reply. OK, it's the 15th, final hint before I give it up:
The movie is still playing in theaters, and will be turning 30 this October (Right arround my bithday, actualy). If that's not enough of a hint, try this one: Toast!
SuperflDex
Rocky Horror Picture Show?
DarkShinigami4711
Yep, written on the thigh of Tim Curry, aka Dr. Frank-n-Furter. It's actualy only visible during part of "Sweet Transvestite". You're up, Dex!
SuperflDex
w00t! I never noticed the tatoo, but when you said cult classic and mentioned its anniversary coming in October, I figured that had to be it. Okay, my trivia is going to be a bit hardcore, so don't kill me...

In Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in the chase through the asteriod belt there are two asteroids that are actually very common earthly items. What are they?

Sorry if its confusing. If anyone doesn't understand, let me know and I'll try to clarify.
mafia-man
Two different objects? All I know is that there are two potatos.

If one of these was to colide with another or with a planet would you get mash potato?
bartman
a shoe and a potato
SuperflDex
bartman, you are correct. For a second I though I had a difficult one there. Never underestimate the fandom of Star Wars...
bartman
actually I make it a habit to read the trivia sections (on imdb.com, lots of interesting stuff on there) of every movie I watch(only reason I know it, never actually realized it, but will look for it next time), and that one stuck out for Empire Strikes Back.

Who was originally cast as Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Useless Trivia Man
Wasn't it Robert Redford?
mafia-man

Mr. Magnum P.I. himself the one the only Tom Selleck, the guy is a legend so damn cool biggrin.gif though I don't think he would have been right fot the movie.
bartman
and it's Mafia-man with the win.

Spielberg's second choice was Selleck, Lucas protested his first choice (Harrison Ford) since Ford had been in 2 other Lucas involved films. Luckily, Selleck pulled out.

Just wanted to add a quick note.

A few of you have emailed me the answers for your questions here and in the other games we've got going. While I appreciate your thoroughness, there's no need to do this. Obviously if you're going to be away from your com for a while and need someone to moderate the guesses to your questions that's me. I'm perfectly happy to do this, however, I'd like to play the games too, so if you're capable of monitoring responses to your questions then no need to send me the answer.

Thanks guys, as always you're great!
mafia-man
In Bio Dome, what does Bud use, to knock Doyle out, and what gives thier plan away?
mafia-man
No body got any idea, surely someone watched the movie
Gi@nT
I've seen the movie, but it's been a long while. The only think I can think of is a beer can or a keg, but I think that's way too obvious to be right.
mafia-man
wrong i'm afraid

Don't know how I could give a clue though without giving it away.

The "weapon" used has something to do with knowlage and learning
bartman
I think it's a book (wacked firmly in the forehead region), and if I remember correctly they see some sort of logo on the guy's head. (They were trying to make it so they wouldn't have to go see the opening of the biodome)

I knew about the book part, couldn't remember what was on the head, been a while since I saw the movie
mafia-man
Yup close enough it was an imprint of the globe from an encyclopedia.... just why they would have encyclopedias is any ones guess though biggrin.gif

You're up
bartman
I think I'm gonna have to pass, I really can't think of any good movie trivia, besides I'm already in the name that movie from the quote. SO I pass yeah
Waycos
Snatch!

What band ate one of the characters from Empire Records during the movie?
nicofiend
Easy...GWAR.
They ate Marc, after he ate the special brownies w/ "extra sugar".
Waycos
That's it.
nicofiend
Hmm. Damn, I have to stop answering things when I don't a question ready.
Ok lets try this one.

In National Lampoons: Loaded Weapon 1, who was the cameo star that had their trailer blown up by mistake?
Useless Trivia Man
That'd be Bruce Willis (as John McLean). Dontcha hate it when the assassins get their house addresses mixed up? tongue.gif

In the original Muppet Movie, what two flavors of ice cream cones did Fozzie order (bonus points if you can tell me what legendary comedian dished 'em out)?
Useless Trivia Man
Nobody wanted to take a crack at this one, huh? Fozzie asked for (and received) a honey ice cream cone and a dragonfly ripple, from Bob Hope.

Someone else can go.
Gibbon
Alright, I'll step in here: who played Jesus in the 1973 movie of Jesus Christ Superstar?
Inane
Wait... That wasn't the real Jesus?!
Gi@nT
Okay I definately know this one... in the 1973 version Judas was played by Carl Anderson, who recently died of throat cancer, and that means Jesus was played by....<thinking> Glenn Carter?

Edit: No wait, Gelnn Carter is only in the version I own that came out in the late '90s, the 1973 version has to be Ted Kneely, or something like that, I've undoubtedly spelt it wrong.

Awesome man.
I'm gonna have to go get a paper-bag or something, I'm about to hyperventilate.

Inane
Thank you, I'll be here all night.
MissLiss
What is baby carrying in her arms when she first goes up to the cabin in Dirty Dancing. She later references it when Johnny asks his cousin, "what's she doin here?"
Gi@nT
excl.gif Whoa there MissLiss, you've got to read the rules before you play the game. To ask a question you must first answer one right, or the turn must be up for grabs, neither of which is available at the moment. For further rules please consult them here. excl.gif

As it stands Gibbon still has a day left to confirm the responses to his question, and if wrong post a new hint. I'll PM him after posting this to give him a friendly reminder.

Oh and for the record, Baby is carrying a watermelon. wink.gif
Gibbon
Ted Neeley is correct G man, you're up.
someguy
Giant is the G-Man?

Who are your employers?
Gi@nT

huh.gif I don't know, I suppose my ultimate boss would be Joe Forzani...

Anyways thanks for confirming that Gibbon, for my go, hopefully a toughie:

What are three significant differences between the 2005 version of Man on Fire and the novel that it is based on by A. J. Quinnel? Also if you've seen the 1987 version of the film, it follows the novel very closely.

Edit: Can't really hint at this one without making it too obvious, so I'll let it run untill the end of today and then I'll throw out a new question.
Gi@nT
Alrighty, apparently I've stumped you all.

Answers to my previous question could be:

> In the novel Creasy is white, not black.
> The novel is set in Italy, not Mexico.
> Creasy lives in the novel.
> Pita dies in the novel.
> And in the novel, Creasy has a brief affair with Pita's mother.

New question, in the movie DareDevil who was originally considered, albeit at seperate times, for the roles of both DareDevil and Bullseye?
Gibbon
Someone better than Ben Afflek
Inane
You hope.
