PANEL 1
OUTSIDE – STREET. CARTER and RAYNE are walking, and RAYNE nods.
CARTER
I debated whether I was going to say hello to you.
RAYNE
I can understand that.
PANEL 2
OUTSIDE – STREET. RAYNE corrects himself, realizing he's out of his depth here.
RAYNE
No.
RAYNE
That's a lie.
RAYNE
I don't understand that.
PANEL 3
OUTSIDE – STREET. CARTER tries to explain, RAYNE nods, thinking he understands.
CARTER
There's a constant anxiety, not knowing how people from my past will take my transition.
RAYNE

PANEL 4
OUTSIDE – STREET. CARTER glares at RAYNE, and RAYNE looks very apologetic.
CARTER
Did you just equate my transition with a haircut?
RAYNE
In my defence, I'm super ignorant.
